Except for a very small amount of landfills, most of them have been incinerated and generated electricity, and Jiangcheng's domestic waste treatment has entered a veritable "burning era." A few days ago, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the commissioning of a municipal waste incineration treatment plant at the provincial level AAA, the reporter walked into this waste incineration power plant in Xingou, Dongxihu, and experienced Jiangcheng's waste treatment obvious change.
The garbage incineration plant, which has received the preliminary assessment of AAA level, has a total investment of 439.89 million yuan and covers an area of 49001 square meters (74 acres). The supervisory bureau approved the commercial operation of the power grid.
At the 2nd anniversary of the commissioning, at present, the Xingou waste incineration power plant has assumed the burden of processing urban domestic waste in the entire Dongxihu District, the Caidian District, the Zhuankou Development Zone, and the Tongkou District.
In the past two years, the waste plant has processed 792,600 tons of waste. If these wastes are incinerated, they can be stacked on a standard football field with a height of 53 floors. The waste plant uses steam generated by the incineration boiler to generate 400,000 electricity per day. Power generation, of which 60,000 kWh is for self-use, and another 340,000 kWh is supplied to the grid. The total power generation in the two years is 225 million kWh, which is equivalent to saving 74,000 tons of standard coal and saving 44 million yuan.
It is worth mentioning that the incineration treatment of domestic waste not only reduces the amount and is environmentally friendly. In the next two years, the incineration plant also reduced about 300,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the remaining ash after the high-temperature incineration of the waste was transported to the brick making plant. After the crushing, it was screened as the raw material for making bricks for urban municipal engineering and other projects, which truly realized the garbage “turning waste into treasure”.
The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Academy of Environmental Sciences introduced that after 2 years of operation, the provincial and municipal environmental testing center stations and the Municipal Institute of Environmental Sciences and other units have repeatedly measured the plant's smoke emission indicators, the plant boundary environment, domestic sewage, and landfill leachate. Testing and random inspections of various environmental protection indicators, etc., the results are in line with national standards, the main indicators have reached EU standards, no environmental pollution problems. At present, the Provincial Electric Power Quality Inspection Center Station also promotes it as an industry benchmark in the province.
At present, there are four waste incineration power plants similar to Xingou in the city, namely: Jiangxia Changshankou Waste Incineration Power Plant, Hankou North Waste Incineration Power Plant, Hanyang Guodingshan Waste Incineration Power Plant, Wuhan Chemical New District Xinghuo Waste Incineration Power plants, these incineration power plants have been commissioned and operated in recent years in franchise mode, but these four provincial-level preliminary evaluation levels are slightly lower, all of which are AA grades.
It is understood that in recent years, Wuhan has disposed of waste disposal in accordance with the plan of "five incineration, two landfills, and one comprehensive". The city's daily output of nearly 7,400 tons of domestic waste has been mostly transported into these five incineration power plants for treatment and domestic waste. All incineration treatments have been rendered harmless.
As for the two landfills that have been completed and put into operation, namely: Xinjia Chenjiachong Landfill and Jiangxia Changshankou Landfill, their long-term positioning will be used as a supplement and emergency transfer site for waste incineration power plants. Project construction. With the successive incineration of waste-to-energy power plants, the disposal scale of the Chenjiachong landfill has continued to decline. Currently, the actual landfill volume is only 300 ~ 500 tons / day. The Changshankou landfill site currently does not enter the garbage.
